I note with interest this being mentioned on another thread

Does anyone have a recipe which doesn't use raw egg white??

Or anything mousse-y or pudding-y

TIA KMc

Yeah - but this is for 9 under fives for after lunch

Other puds are eton mess,(premade meringues), Syrup sponge, fruit & ice cream, cherry pie, semolina

'thedelia' as you referred to it doesn't really meet the time requirements

Angel delight does - but it's crap

would you like a dead easy hor fudge sauce???? rather sweet though

Katymac · 21/11/2007 20:48

Got a fab fudge sauce & a fab choc sauce 7 a rather nice fruit sauce (lots of different fruits can be used mixed or on their own)

But I fancied something mousse-y (fussy aren't I?...sorry)

Crunchie bar smashed up in whipped cream? That is nice and piece of old wee wee to do.

Not quite mousse like, but light and has some chocolate. Ohh thinking about it could you melt some chocolate and whip it into the cream???? and then stir in the crunchie?

Katymac · 21/11/2007 20:53

I have several lovely mouss-y recipes but all involve raw egg

I think my pudds are OKish but fancied this sort of thing

Hmm - maybe I should think more

A-ha. Right, how about this then:

Simple Chocolate Pots

300ml double cream
100g chocolate (can be dark or milk), broken into pieces
1 tbs caster sugar

Bring half the cream to the boil, add choc and sugar, remove from the heat and stir until the chocolate dissolves.

Leave until cool but not set. meanwhile, whip cream until stiff

Fold melted choc into whipped cream until mixed. Pour into 4-6 little cups/remekins adn set in fridge (about 1 hour).
