I was going to make these for someone coming for lunch, who eats low carb due to diabetes.
However, when I put this recipe into MFP, it says they're 202 calories but 14.6g carbs, each!
The recipe says only 2.
Is this because in the US they don't count/reduce by the fibre content.?
I shan't make them anyway as this won't work for the person in question as their readings go sky high even when taking into account the fibre, but I just thought it seemed a bit misleading.

The recipe says "2 carbs" not 2g. I don't know this diet but I assume it's carb counting like weight watchers does points.

The diabetic I know counts units of insulin per portion of carb. I wouldn't serve them a weird new recipe like that as they would not know how many units they would need.

Can you just not serve flatbreads?

I've just seen that it's the Michael Mosely diet - I believe it's aimed at getting healthy and avoiding type 2 diabetes. I'm assuming your friend is type 1 diabetic?

Could try some of these recipes instead www.diabetes.org.uk/guide-to-diabetes/recipes

Also, you're very nice to try a brand new recipe to accommodate your friend's needs.

Cloud bread is your friend. It's mostly egg. Add salt and seasoning and leave it for a couple of hours at least before you eat it so it goes more bready.

Hmm oh yes, I'll check that. No can't have ordinary flatbreads. The carbs in those are too high.

That's a good site, we've tried some from there they have some good recipes. Thank you, it's a relative but I do a lot of cooking for them. 😬

Oh, they are type 2 diabetic, but keeping the daily carbs down to under 40/50 keeps their levels good.

Ah thanks we tried that, they're not keen. I usually have some 'low carb food co' rolls in but have run out so I thought maybe i could knock up something similar.
