Pudding ideas needed

I've been asked to make a pudding for an outdoor volunteering activity - in the middle of a field - for 20 people. It needs to be something that travels well, doesn't need refrigerating (although could go in a cool bag) and won't need serving hot. It will be served up after a curry or chilli. I also need to be able to make it the day before.
Any ideas for something easy to make and serve/cheap/and fits the bill will be greatly appreciated.

How long will it be between leaving home and serving up? I'm assuming a cheesecake (classic cream cheese variety as opposed to a baked one) is out of the question, also anything involving a lot of cream.

Fruit salad in a tub with a very good seal? You'd need to provide dishes/cups for it, though.

Brownies? Apple cake?

Cake. Buy frozen gateau type. Fruit flan.

I'll probably need to pack it at 9.00 and it might not get served until 2.00 ish. That's probably a bit long for anything with dairy in it.

If it's 'something sweet' rather than 'must be a dessert/pudding' then a mix of brownies and blondies would be good. Or Rocky road even easier.
Fruit salad would be good after curry/chilli but as you need to make it the day before, a fruit salad with apples etc won't be at its best.
A mix of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries could be compiled after you arrive, just the strawberries to slice, tho quite expensive for a lot of people (but you could serve a little of that with brownies/blondies/lemon drizzle tray bake. )

I don't mind cold custard - it's just like a flavoured cream really, so you could make eg apple cake and offer ready made custard from a carton which won't need a fridge.

Please would you let us know what you do make as I often am asked to take desserts to friends' barbecues and more often than not there is no fridge space!

How about a tray bake pudding? You can keep it in the tray wrapped in foil and take it along. Found this on the BBC Good Food website, might give you some inspiration? www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/collection/traybake-recipes/amp

But frozen gateau and they'll be nice and defrosted by the time you need to eat them if kept in a cool bag. Freeze cream and take that and it should be nicely defrosted but still cold too.

cakebythepound1234 I'm tempted by the Dorset apple traybake. Could take squirty cream and maybe keep that cold enough with enough ice blocks. Buying a ready made frozen pudding and letting it thaw whilst we're there is tempting too or maybe I could make my own a few days before and freeze it myself! I'm not sure how I get roped in to doing these things - well i am really - it's called DH!

Lots of ideas if you google freezable desserts/puddings. Even cheesecake is possible then!

If you wanted to stick with the Indian theme, shrikhand is a traditional Indian dessert that travels well. You’d need to keep it in a cool box but think it would be ok for a few hours. M&S seeks pouches of passion fruit, which are relatively good value.

Blondies and brownies sound great
Low faf and you could even pre wrap them individually before you go. The less fuss the better. Squirty cream optional

These are amazing www.sweetestmenu.com/white-chocolate-coconut-brownies/

Flapjacks could be your third option. Depends how crazy you want to go.
