pastabest that does assume that OP has baking things which might not have been used with flour. It does depend on how sensitive the person is.

I really like this white chocolate mud cake but I halve the recipe and cut the milk by a third. I also add fresh raspberries. It is melted in a saucepan and then mixed so avoiding some baking things, still need a tin to bake in. Or biscuits and sorbet. Or brandy snaps with homemade sorbet.

Try glutenfreecuppatea.co.uk for some great recipes. I've made lots and they're very good

I agree with pp's re going for things that are naturally gluten free rather than using substitutes. Gluten free pasta is not very nice and hard to cook well if you're not used to it. Stick to potatoes or rice. Risotto, curries, south east Asian food all good options. Mexican can be good too but the gf wraps are a bit cardboardy. If you can be bothered to buy some masa harina and make your own tortillas, that would be amazing. For dessert, ottolenghi's clementine cake which is full of ground almonds and topped with chocolate is divine. I think it has a little bit of flour in, which I swap for gf flour.

I steer clear of gluten, and find that a lot of Ottolenghi recipes are either GF or can be adapted easily. His mains are often accompanied by rice.
