is there any risk to boys eating soya beans?

Anotehr question while I'm feeling uninspired at work. DS loves frozen soya beans, which is nice because they're green and a source of protein - two birds with one stone! But I'm slightly worried about feeding him vast quantities because of a vague notion that they contain estrogens and therefore may not be so good for boys. Any informed people out there?

No. That is propoganda - the real risks of soy come from eating refined, overly porcessed soya in cakes and sweets with long shelf lives.

Asian men eat lots of soy and are not womanly with greta big bobs on them, so I very much doubt that moderate amounts of fresh soybeans will damge your son!
(And also as a family of vegans who all regularly eat soya wholefoods, the guys in our family have had no side effects!)

yes as it's sometimes advertised for women of a certain age to help with the menopause! The soya beans are a pleasant surprise as I bought them for me but the kids love them - not sure why, they have a slightly "mealy" taste compared to peas but are much more popular.
