Cooking from frozen - what's the problem?

About to cook a homemade minestrone soup - from frozen. Done it before no problem but know your'e not supposed to. Why? Just curious - gonna do it anyway!

Probably just because bits of it will be overcooked before the rest is defrosted - it's a question of quality rather than goodness.

If you have a microwave, it would melt a bit more evenly in there before you heat it up, but it doesn't really matter I don't think.

Ah, thank you. Yes, the spag bits will be a bit soggy for sure, tho I think I may have cunningly undercooked them for just such an eventuality...

Actually if you put the minestrone in a container in a pan of hot water and then heated that it might be better for your soggy spag?
