Nutritional value of jam

My mum makes amazing blackcurrant jam. It's lush - really tart and fruity. I'm pretty much surviving on it with toast (BF, great excuse!).

Tell me, can I justify my overindulgence by clinging to the blackcurrant's new status as a superfood or does all that boiling kill the vitamins?

I have no idea about the nutrition. Instinct tells me that it is all boiled away.
But you can mix it with natural yoghurt to make a delicious flavoured yoghurt and then it will be very nutritious, esp for a bf-er

It's just empty calories mainly - there's so much refined sugar in jam that it has virtually no nutritional value as far as I know. But if it's home-made, at least that's better than buying mass produced, and probably more nutritional value in that than in factory-made, which will be very processed. So go on, enjoy!!!!

Oh yes, homegrown big fat organic horse-shit fertilized blackcurrants, and sugar.

We won't mention the thick-sliced buttered white toast then ...
