Meal prep containers

Hi all,

Next week I am starting my meal prep journey in a bid to loose some weight whilst having convenient meals in etc, spurred on by the meal prep king book!

Could I have your recommendation for meal prep containers - either glass or plastic which work out as balanced portion sizes?

Any help would be amazing!

If they're still open Poundland are great for cheap, multi-use plastic boxes of many sizes.

I don’t think you can rely on the container to indicate portion sizes tbh because it depends on what you cook. It would be better to just find the size of container you are happy with then weigh out whatever you cook into them.
Does the recipe book give you all the ingredient amounts and how many portions it makes? If so just divide between the right amount of containers.

I’ve actually just looked on his Instagram page and his containers are quite wide but shallow and he doesn’t pile a lot in them. His FB page even says about inputting the recipes into MFP so, although they prep a lot of meals for ease, they focus on calorie counting to make sure they stay on target. They aren’t relying on a container for their portion sizes. They do do some tasty looking food though so enjoy!

I use these boxes from Lakeland. They stack nicely in the freezer and are just right for one adult portion or two kiddie ones of most things.

I second the lakeland boxes - they come in 3 different sizes, and stack easily.

Thanks all

I have these here and they’re great. Perfect size for a portion of curry and rice, etc. So great for meal prep. I’m not sure how durable they’re going to be, the lids seem slightly flimsy. Only had them a couple of weeks.

I like the glass containers from IKEA as I can freeze and shove straight in the oven. It depends what you are putting them in I guess
