Homemade ravioli

I plan on doing this with DD tomorrow using this recipe: www.kidsplayandcreate.com/how-to-make-ravioli-with-kids-easy-dinner-recipes-kids-can-make/

Anyone know if I can pan fry them once made in to ravioli instead of boiling? Like dust them with semolina then do so? Or do I have to boil?

The pasta needs to cook, then fry them if you are looking for crispiness?

Like you would gyoza/dumplings, the pasta/dumpling needs to be cooked first.

Looks ambitious.
How old is your DD?

I don't want to sound like a doomcaster, but I think home made ravioli is quite a difficult thing to make, there is a lot that go wrong- I know to my cost.
If the past is too thin it will split when boiled- too thick and will be soggy. Too much filling and they will burst, not sealed well enough ditto.

I like to choose recipes with a good chance of sucess- particularly when cooking with young children.

Everything I have read seems to say it is easy? I'm definitely not the worlds best cook but I'm not bad at all. We made gnocchi the other day, she doesn't help me with all the steps, just the mixing and kneading and then runs off! I thought for this she can help me with filling too. The body coach posted a recipe and made it look simple - maybe I got a bit carried away thinking it was Blush

I make ravioli regularly, and usually put them in the fry pan with a dash of stock- which quickly steams them as it evaporates, then add a cube of butter and fry for another minute.

I did Boil then pan fry, they didn't turn out badly for a first attempt but I think the dough was quite thick. Overall I'm happy!
