Instant Pot - should I get one?

Does anyone have one? Would you recommend it? What do you use it for? We don't have a big kitchen - is it worth the space it will occupy? If I get one how big should it be? We're a family of 4. Options are 3l, 5.7l and 8l. Thank you

@blerg
If the meat tastes too tough, it’s either the wrong cuts of meat you’re using or incorrect cooking method. What cuts are you buying?

Are you cooking it for the right amount of time and then letting it release pressure naturally? I rarely use the quick release option and definitely not with chunks of meat, but with mince based dishes it’s fine.

Basically you need a programme on the IP that maintains a temperature of 40degreesC, which not all models allow you to set them to do.

I've had a 6l instant pot duo, then upgraded to 8l duo as I was cooking for even more people eventually.
On Black Friday, I upgraded and bought the 8l duo crisp with air fryer option.
I love it very much and recommend it.

As for yoghurt. You can do yoghurt the normal way or with UHT cold start way.

This link has great info and also tells you what to do if your pot doesn't have the yoghurt button like on the duo crisp

We have had an Instant Pot for more than 5 years. We saw one of the first in a big Asian appliance store and decided to get one to replace our slow cooker, rice cooker, etc. i would not be without one now. We use it every week, for stock, for stews, for pastas,rice etc. i make soups such as butternut squash and pasta sauces and curries.

So quick and easy, and better flavour than a slow cooker.

Highly recommend.
