Korma recipe, like the ones served in Indian restaurants!

Does anyone have a recipe for Korma, like the curries served in restaurants rather than the ones in jars or ready meals? I'm guessing loads of cream and ground almonds. My son will eat any vegetable that is smothered in korma sauce when we eat out and i want to replicate this at home. So far he's not liked any recipe i have tried, or any jars/pastes....

For Indian restaurant style currys you really need to start with making a big batch of base curry sauce. If you search YouTube misty ricardo and Al's Kitchen are great starting points for homemade restaurant style currys and both have korma recipes on there. I've only tried Mistsy but have heard great things about Al's kitchen. Join The secret curry group on Facebook, I learned so much on there.

Jars and pastes are so no wonder he doesn’t like them. I’ve got the takeaway secret book and that does a base curry sauce that’s pretty grim on its own but nice when made when you add the spices for curries and it freezes really well.

Get the book, The Curry Secret. It's a bit faffy but the curries are great

There’s an app called The Curry Guy that has a recipe for the base sauce, I think he also has a website, it may be on there. The chasni is the nicest one we’ve tried, and it’s similar to a korma. I freeze the base sauce in portions.

Honestly the best I've found has been in the Simply Cook box. DS even prefers it to restaurant ones now. Its a bit lighter than a restaurant one but deliciously creamy.

There is a decent korma recipe in my Ainsley Harriott Meals in Minutes cookbook which I have made lots of times. I'll see if it is online too

I use the korma recipes from Curry frenzy. They aren't based on a standard base Sauce and taste great.

Can't find the one I used recently but key was using lots of garlic and ginger paste - the stuff you get in jars. This sounds similar though www.delish.com/uk/cooking/recipes/a34196948/chicken-korma/
