Baking book for teen DC

My 14 year old has really got into baking since lockdown. I would like to get her a book that has lots of inspiring and classic recipes. I am torn between something like Mary Berry, which seems like the bible, and something younger feeling. I don't want her to think it is all old fashioned, but I think she would like to learn the basics. Her main source of info is Pinterest. Any recommendations?

Not a book, but lots of the recipes from my childhood (which we were all encouraged to make as teenagers in cooking class at school) are online at
edmondscooking.co.nz/recipes/.

I had forgotten about ginger gems!

Tanya Burr (YouTuber) has a baking book or maybe look at Martha Collinson/ Liam Charles both of whom are ex GBBO

Mary Berry is good.
Good Housekeeping have excellent books with all the basics.
How to be Domestic Goddess - Nigella, it also very good.
I was given a book called Floury Fingers, but I was 7 at the time ;-)

I've bought my dd the mary berry complete Cookbook and also more recently Ed Kimber's One Tin Bakes both of which are great.

Not a book, but thought it worth mentioning as has been a hit with my teen dd... a subscription to bakedin? Different recipe and box of ingredients arrive each month which definitely made her bake things she may not have chosen... and learned new skills. Often good discount codes around. There were good ones last Black Friday.

I'm getting my 13 year old 100 cookies (it's not just cookies) as we already have a few general baking books (domestic goddess, a BBC good food one and the Dan Leopard baking book). I did consider the Ed Kimber one tin bakes but mixed reviews and I can't get to a bookshop now to see it in person.

I always think you can't go wrong with the McDougalls or Be-Ro books.

There are lots of cook books aimed at students which might appeal more to a younger person. Can't recommend a specific one though.
Otherwise Delia's complete cookery course or Nigella's How to Eat as an alternative to Mary.
