Dinner party dilemma: Which starter goes with chicken pie?

Hi all! Some advice needed and all suggestions welcome! Having a small lunch party and decided to make a creamy chicken/leek/sweetcorn pie for main as i can make most of it beforehand and pop it in the oven when guest arrive. Guests will bring dessert. They are big eaters so I'm thinking about having a starter as well but have no idea what goes with my chicken pie?
Help please!
(Note: we're not in the UK so no covid restrictions in my country of residence...)

For sides with the pie,
Sweet potato or carrot mash
Green beans pan fried with almonds
Apple and celery chopped salad (cuts through the creaminess of the pie)

For the starter I wouldn’t do anything creamy as the pie has cream. A veg starter with olives or figs sounds perfect!

I'd move your side salad up to a starter with maybe some roquefort and then do oven roasted veggies with your pie.

Your pie sounds lovely, but it's basically a very thick soup with a lid.

I'd go for something light & veggie if you really must have a starter.

We love chicken pie, but it is a leftover dish. We would not generally have starters.

If serving it to guests, maybe crisps/nuts/pickles? Nothing that requires preparation.

Love that description!

Mmmmm chicken pie!

Has to have broccoli and some potato accompaniment (I loathe mash!)

Starter-
Melon and Parma
Asparagus and Parma (though probably completely wrong season!)
Auvergne salad (blue cheese, pear, rocket-type salad)
