What can I feed my 15 mth ds for breakfast apart from weetabix?

For the last 6 mths or so I have without fail fed my ds2 with 2 weetabix every morning. He does finish it but I do want to change what I feed him but don't know what to. The older children are into all these sugary cereals which I really don't want to give him at this stage so some ideas will help. Thanks

I give my 15 month old DS Ready Brek (tend to alternate between this and Weetabix). With Ready Brek I mix different things in to make it less boring - raisins, fruit puree and very occasionally, as a treat, jam. All go down very well

porridge/oatso simple?

My LO is a weetabix fiend too! He has two every morning with mashed banana. He also likes porridge with banana or honey. If I'm in a rush, he has toast as he can feed himself.

He has been eyeing up my cornflakes recently so I reckon I might see if he fancies some of those soon. I thought I could just put them in a little bit of milk and let him eat them with his fingers.

I will be watching this thread for further ideas!

Deffo porridge worth a go, mixed with banana, applesauce ect.

When mine were a bit older, then liked ricecakes with almond butter and mashed banana. Messy but fun!

Also, don't feel confined to breakfast foods. Leftovers from last night are good, and so are things like pasta and sauce/rice and lentils with plenty of oil to make it calorie dense.

ummm, banana porridge
Eggy bread?
Soft boiled egg & soldiers?
Muesli?

Scrambled egg also goes down well. Down the highchair, down the walls, down on the floor...

shreddies, mini-shredded wheat, cheerios, rice crispies, rice crispies multi-grain shapes (used to be called muddles), etc. My 1 year old has them in milk and has been trying to eat them with a spoon (but mainly with his fingers!!)
