have got a recipie for pumpkin cake

(which makes 2 round cakes like a victoria sandwich cake)

do you think i could do these as fairy cakes (rather than a big cake) for a halloween party?

its a basic cake mix:

cream sugar and butter
add egg
fold in flour (with baking powder and spices added)

then fold in pumpkin puree and currents

Im assuming it would be to make in fairy cakes... but if anyone thiks it will be a disaster please let me know!
(will be making at least 25.... but if not enough cake mix we could just do some normal fairy cakes as well)

(if anyone is interested this recipie is in the current october free asda magazine)

I would have thought it would be good as fairy cakes. I tend to make carrot cake into fairy cakes as they are so huge as a cake and its easier for little people to eat. Just reduce the cooking time.
A friend recently made some pumpkin cake to an american recipe, it was gorgeous and had a lovely gingery taste, You can use a whole pumpkin or squash too, just roast or steam it first, pumpkin puree is quite hard to get hold of.

they have a recipie for how to make pumpkin puree on the next page (ie cook some pumpkin and whizz it in a food processor, then let it cool!)
