What can I do with these veg?

Neighbour has very kindly handed in some veg from their allotment but I'm not sure what to do with
A marrow
A squash (looks like a small green pumpkin)
2 beetroot - one white and one purple.

I don't even know where to start with cooking them never mind what in.

Beetroot- should I cook whole or peel and cut then roast? Was thinking of having on the side of a goats cheese tart or in a salad.

Marrow- do I treat like courgette??

Squash- do I treat it like butternut squash/pumpkin??

TIA

marrow- yes a courgette but the skin may be tough
squash- yes, it's a pumpkin of sorts, it may well be a long lasting one (mine last months) so no hurry there
beetroot- i think you can roast whole, but they take a long time to cook, and the red ones stain everything, cook with the peel on

I love fresh beetroot salad, and I don't even peel it (bonus vitamins!) . Cut leaves and tail, put in pot with water and depending on size, cook 40 min - 60 min. When cooled, cut into 1 cm cubes, add tomatoes cut into 1 cm cubes and fresh spring onions, including the green part. Rock salt, olive oil, vinegar and pepper

WAsh and chop your beets - roast with a little oil and thyme.

Actually that's how I would cook most of the veg you have mentioned there.

Marrows can be a bit watery so cut it open first to determine what kind you have.

Perfect very helpful thanks.
So with the marrow I could do a kind of roasted med veg- peppers, red onion and marrow?

Beetroot is a good cake ingredient too.

Stuffed marrow.
Pickled beatroot or add to a soup.
Roast squah or add to soup, or roast.
And yes to Beatroot chocolate cake. (But quite messy.)
