Need inspiration for dinner ideas

I have just tried the C4 JO spag bol recipe for tea tonight. It was so bad !!! I have a pot full of the stuff, that I will freeze and mix with a dolmio jar to make into lasagnes. It was tasteless, watery and horrible. My ds said the British Bol. was true to its word, wet and dreary!! I felt like crying after cooking it on the hob for the last 2 hours.

I have really now run out of ideas to make tea interesting for the children. Any ideas and tips?? I have been trying to make it interesting for the children as we haven't gone away this holiday at all. Usually have a homemade chicken curry, fish/scampi and chips, (supermarket bought) pizza, a mince dish, homemade chinese dish, sausage and mash dish and a roast dish. Tried the HelloFresh during the lockdown, but to be honest thought it was expensive and too much packaging and took a lot of the recipes and then made myself instead.

There are so many curries out there beyond chicken, so you could stick with a curry night but just add a few different ones, beef, red pepper and butternut squash is lovely, a dhal, cauliflower, chickpea and sweet potato, Thai green curry etc
Try making your own fish cakes, either traditional cod and parsley or sweet potato, tuna a chilli are delicious!
Sausage casserole
Chicken tagine and cous cous
Puff pastry tart with leeks and blue cheese or tomato, red onion and Parmesan
Roasted veg fritata
Quiche
Salmon tray bake
Chicken and chorizo tray bake
Chicken and pineapple skewers
Homemade bean burgers
Butterflied garlic and herb chicken breast in ciabatta rolls with salad

Cheesy omelettes are always a big hit here, as is fritatta.
Quesadillas
Burgers with salsa and wedges
Chilli and baked spuds
Pizza - buy the base then get the kids to choose their own toppings from a selection. I spread the bases with a mix of tinned tomatoes, tomato puree and italian garlic seasoning then let them choose. We usually have a few things from the following selections. Various types of cheese, olives, bacon bits (precooked), mushrooms (i precook these to stop them going watery), peppers, cooked sausage cut into chunks, pineapple, spring onion, green beans...whatever I fancy throwing into bowls. One person likes an egg plopped in the middle, which works surprisingly well.

Jambalaya - there are loads of varients and they're quite easy to make.

if they like fish this is a great recipe - I made it this evening (takes about 25 minutes to prep) and my three enjoyed it.

Highly recommend the BBC Good Food chicken and chorizo jambalaya it's amazing!

Gnocchi with cherry tomatoes and mozerella is super fast, cheap and really really good.
