DD1 has Branflakes, and I might sometimes purchase Cocopops as a treat, but often she'll pick the Branflakes instead.
DD2 has porridge, weetabix, or rice Krispies.

MorocconOil · 03/10/2007 22:50

I hope it's a drive in. God forbid you might walk there

Blu · 03/10/2007 22:51

Raggydoll · 03/10/2007 22:51

Good night, Hatwoman, do sleep well!

hatwoman · 04/10/2007 10:04

blimey did I kill the thread by being silly?

Soph73 · 04/10/2007 10:11

Wish our maccyd´s opened early enough hatwoman - what a time saver that would be in the mornings

Soph73 · 04/10/2007 10:12

On a more serious note {{places halo atop head}} it´s normally marmite on toast at the mo for DS during the week & anything that´s going at the weekend - he´s a human dustbin

mustsleep · 04/10/2007 10:13

this morning 2 crumpets and a nutrigrain bar each

is that wromg?

ChippyMinton · 04/10/2007 10:14

Usually oat or rice-based cereals - oatibix, country crisp (dry or with milk)
Occasionally toast & honey, peanut butter, nutella, yoghurt, piece of fruit, brioche or croissants.
Weekends - pankcakes & syrup, or bacon sandwiches.

CountessDracula · 04/10/2007 10:15

porridge
grape nuts
bran flakes
weetabix

with fruit
and OJ

occasionally toast

foxinsocks · 04/10/2007 10:17

1 has ready brek and sometimes toast and a banana

the other has toast and chocolate spread and an apple

GreebosWhiskers · 04/10/2007 10:20

ds (10mo) has banana with raisin toast/weetabix & a yogurt. 2.7yo dd has maple-frosted cornflakes ( but in my defence they are organic) with banana & sometimes toast or a yogurt too.

Hatwoman - are you a Calvin & Hobbes fan?

oliveoil · 04/10/2007 10:22

dd1: frosties (dry), toast with butter, juice
dd2: banana or other fruit, toast (dry!!), juice

dd1 will have bacon or sausage etc at weekends

dd2 will not

maisemor · 04/10/2007 10:39

Cheerios or weetabix or Rice Krispies or toast or porridge or toast and scrambled egg.

weekend porridge or weetabix on the Sunday, Saturday pancakes.

Freshly made fruitsmoothie every morning.

muppetgirl · 04/10/2007 10:42

We have four large tuppaware type pouring storage containers filled with rice crisbies, crunchy nut, shreddies and museli.

I rotate what to put out. We have toast/croissants at the weekend and the occasional fried breakfast especially if ds is off to a party as then I at least know he's had a meal for that day.

We don;t have any chocolate cereals/frosted things.

hatwoman · 04/10/2007 11:12

Greebos - I was wondering if anyone would get the reference! I can't claim to be a huge fan but that particular phrase is one that has entered our family language

katylou25 · 04/10/2007 11:32

Ds1 - weetabix/rice crispies and toast /crumpets
ds2 - crispy stars/rice crispies and toast crumpets

quite often have banana or yoghurt as well - and yummy things at the weekend!

TheMaskedPosTERROR · 04/10/2007 11:36

cereal
or
toast
or
both

OrmIrian · 04/10/2007 11:37

Cheese on toast, sardines on toast, baked beans on toast, bacon sandwiches, boiled eggs, smoothie, yoghurt, cornflakes, rice crispies, chocolate spread sandwiches.... a bowl of tuna mayo and carrot sticks even. Basically anything and everything. I think it's very important to get breakfast into them so don't care if it's a bit weird. The same thing everyday is just boring. If I offered nothing but conventional stuff they'd not bother TBH.

bozza · 04/10/2007 11:38

Mine have the choice of weetabix/porridge/bran flakes/starting right on a week day with or without raisins. The bran flakes are for DH and the starting right (Asda version of Just Right) is for me but if they want them that is OK. They are allowed oatibix bitesize at weekends.

EmilyDavidson · 04/10/2007 11:42

If its cold I try to offer something hot eg beans on toast ,scrambled egg on toast ,that kind of thing.
Otherwise ds always has cereal ,but dd doesnt like cereal so she has a yogurt and toast or a croissant

and orange juice or apple juice to drink

lomondgal · 04/10/2007 11:57

dd1 has cereal - various kinds, loves rice crispies, mini weetabix, cheerios.

She also has a sandwich with cheese or ham as she is going through a stage of not liking toast!

She also sometimes has a bowl of fruit strawberries and grapes or apple.

Gos she sounds really greedy and I didn't even mention the yoghurts!

MuffinMclay · 04/10/2007 13:23

weetabix or oatibix with fruit (and milk, obviously)
slice of toast and jam

usually swap the toast for croissant or pain au chocolat on Sunday
