Shouldn't really, because it raises the overall temp in the fridge.

Spread them out and cut them in half lengthwise? (And then blow on them Very Hard)

no, causes the temp in fridge to rise and can cause more bacteria in there iirc!

OK, I just waved them about madly!

Thanks, good to know that about the fridge temperature being affected. I knew you weren't supposed to put hot/warm food in the fridge but not why.

Do you have any cool thingies in the freezer (for putting into lunch boxes and cool bags)? You could put the sausages in something like a freezer bag or foil and sit them on top of the cool thingy and turn it over now and then. It shouldn't take long before they are cool enough to go in the fridge.

Good tip - I'll remember that.

That reminds me, I've been meaning to order loads more of these from Lakeland as I have mislaid all but one of mine. They're really useful, I wrap one in kitchen roll and apply it to a bump to stop a bruise forming. I put one under ds's plate if I'm serving up very hot food. They're flexible so I can wrap them around things. Once he's off to school I'll need them for his lunchbox.

I've been putting it off for ages because I can't just do a small shop at Lakeland, but I have no more room in the kitchen to store gadgets.
