Panasonic breadmaker gurus required - advice please

I've just bought a Panasonic 253 and am slavishly following my first recipe. Now then - do I add the teaspoonful of yeast as per the recipe and keep the rest in the little 7 gram sachet? Or do I throw caution to the wind and chuck the whole sachet in, (as the yeast manufacturer implies it's OK for a large loaf)?

Ok, will experiment without vit C and see how it goes.

Laa - I find my loaves come out a wee bit lopsided as well - but have baked only on medium crust, and it seems to come out brown enough. Book suggests lopsidedness due to not enough liquid/too much flour - maybe experiment?

you stick to the amounts and save the rest. It also tends to rise more in summer or a very warm house, compared to winter. Having said that whenever I try it something goes horribly wrong. DH on the other hand uses it most days with no problems at all 0 must just be incompetent
