Won't Eat at home - Eat at nursery

My 11 month old dd goes to nursery 3 days a week and she eats everything she's given. She has always had a good appetite but the past 2 weeks she's been refusing the spoon at home. She likes her ham and rice cakes (I give this AFTER the puree) but will only have a few tsp of food/puree. I tried giving her bkfast at the nursery today but she wasn't really interested and then when one of thw nannies came along, she opened her nmouth wide - can anyone explain what's going on?

OuiOui, it sounds to me that your dd has decided to start asserting her authority with you. This will probably show up in other forms continuing to get worse until the terrible twos, have fun

QuiQui, Sounds like its just another one of those wonderful stages they go through. My 22 mo old all of a sudden decided he only likes french fries to survive on. All other food gets pushed aside now.

Sounds like my 15 mo ds and the baked beans that came spitting out unchewed at home, but disappeared rapidly down the hatch at his nursery visit this week!

Thankfully we're eating again. Glad to hear I'm not the only one - it's just that she's always been such a good eater.... They feed her sausages at the nursery - does anyone know where to get "healthy" ones? low in salt, possibly tofu etc etc

Maybe she's getting more independent. I know that at this age my DS would not be fed by me (apart from breakfast and pudding) but could not manage a spoon. He wasn't really on puree by then so I basically let him eat everything (including mashed potatoes , cauliflower cheese, baked beans etc) with his fingers. Unbelievably this was the least messy way....
