What can I feed my kids?!

I swear I must have given birth to the worlds fussiest eaters.. I’ve just cooked and served up spaghetti carbonara because who doesn’t like that right? Wrong! They told me it’s not the best, slimy, cheesy and they just couldn’t make themselves eat it..I need some inspiration please. I’m sick of making/eating chicken korma and spaghetti Bolognese. My kids are 6, 11 and 12 Smile

DIY pizzas
Chilli
Fajitas
Tacos
Jacket potatoes with cheese, beans, tuna....
Risotto
Macaroni cheese
Egg fried rice
Jambalaya
Chicken stir fry

Why not give them a food magazine or cookbook and ask them to go through it and find things they like the sound of? Get them to decide dinners for a week - and get them involved in making them

Try giving them categories and asking them to plan a week with in those categories e.g
Monday a pasta dish
Tuesday a fish dish
Wednesday a rice dish
Thursday a dish with a bread element (pizza, wraps, etc)
Friday a veggie dish
Saturday an Italian dish
Sunday a roast

Obviously you can mix the categories up and they can’t repeat dishes in a week. Sometime just good to have some bones to build from.

Mine is really fussy. If I served what he wants all the time, Everyone else get really bored. So, I sneakily cooked a lot of stuff with a bit of twist to look like something he would eat. Now he doesn't complain so much.
Worst was aubergine, he hated the texture and wouldn't touch the food if it was in it. I have cooked it yesterday and he didn't even notice it was in it. Result. Grin

Some more ideas:

Spaghetti
Lasagna
Pasta
Quiche
Toad in the hole
Sausage and mash
Casserole
Risotto
Pizza
Jacket potato
Hotdog
Chicken burgers
Mac and cheese
Tacos
Burritos
Salad
Fajitas

Seriously though have them do the cooking. Borrow a couple of children's cookbooks from the local library, buy one on Amazon or look at the ones at your local bookstore. Alternatively show them some kid friendly recipes on BBC and ask them to help you in the kitchen next time you cook. If cooking a proper meal is too hard, then start off with a easyish dessert like apple crumble or cake.
