I have both in my fridge. I also have white cabbage, carrots and red onion and some mustard I think. Will this be enough to make it?? Also do I need to add sugar or anything? Never made it before and trying to use up ingredients.

Cabbage, carrot, red onion, shop bought thousand island dressing is our version.

I do a coronation style coleslaw. Carrots, white cabbage, onion, a handful of sultanas and mayo mixed with bog standard curry powder. It’s a taste sensation. Having read this thread I might try it with Apple instead of sultanas.

I'm drooling over all of these, I really want to make coleslaw now, I would use mayo with some white wine vinegar , dab of mustardand plenty of pepper. I'm now feeling sad I don't have a white cabbage as I have everything else

I've only just recently started making coleslaw at home - i was ashamed by the number of plastic pots we threw away. I'm inspired by all your recipes - will try apple and yoghurt. I never add onion because it doesn't agree with me, but always add a sprinkle of mustard powder and a shake of lemon juice, plus a spoon off sugar to counteract. Its yummy anyway, and so easy to make.
