Most often, I marinade salmon in soy sauce and then barbecue. Dead easy and never goes wrong.

I whizz some red peppers from a jar in the blender with a slice of bread and some pine nuts, spread on top of salmon steaks or fillets, and stick 'em in the oven on 200C for 20mins. You could use fresh red peppers and some olive oil instead of the jar variety.

Soy sauce goes well with salmon, too, with sesame seeds for some crunch.

Personally I wouldn't put mustard on salmon. Horseradish goes with it, though.

If I'm not BBQing (which incidentally, I do all year round, regardless of weather ), I usually poach in the oven in white wine an a bit of tarragon.

I can't really picture honey or mustard, tbh.

ok

thank you all, some lovely ideas, might go for soy, for simplicity !

Steam it and eat it either flaked into a salad or (my current fave) with a dressing of soy sauce, wasabi paste and rice vinegar with stir fried veg.
I eat this about 4 times a week.

Simplicity is the key reason for eating salmon

Enjoy!

bake in the oven with teryaki marinade and spring onion and yellow peppers and finish under the grill to caramellize.
