I'm interested in comparing what everyone gives there 2year old as I'm worried dd n#may not be getting enough. Do you still give a bottle in the morning then last thing at night?

My 23 month old DS has a bottle in the morning and at night and whenever he asks for it in the day. We all drink lots of milk in our house and the bottles are just part of the routine now. The fact he'll only drink it warm and in a bottle with a teat is another issue!

jolou1, how much does he have? My dd has about 6oz at night and then about 2oz during the night - I know this is wrong but that's another story! and then milk on her cereal. I never drink milk so don't think to offer her any during the day.

He has about 8oz morning and night and probably another 8oz through the day. But then I drink a pint a day too. Remember though all those other sources of calcium...cheese, yoghurt etc. Some children won't touch milk at all, but there are ways and means of getting the good stuff down them!

My Ds is 22mths and at the mo he has a 8oz bottle of milk in the morning and then milk with his cereal.

He has recently started refusing his bedtime milk, so i now put a tiny bit of hot chocoalte in it and he drinks the whole lot .

dd is 2.2 and has some milk on her cereal in the morning (maybe 3-4 oz). If we remember we offer her a cup of milk in the evening, but she's rarely interested and takes about 1-2oz. And that's it. It's been like that for months. I was breastfeeding her mornings until she was 2, and she's never drunk very much milk from other sources. I just try to give her yogurt and cheese fairly regularly.

One surefire way to get her to drink milk is to go out to a cafe and get her a 'babycino' (frothy warm milk, with cocoa powder on top). She loves that!

DD (2 next Sunday !!!!!!!!!) has about 6oz in the morning and at bedtime and then maybe 4-5oz after her nap in the afternoon. I don't really measure it now, just bung it in a cup and top it up if she swigs it down quickly.

Mine, who just turned 2.5, wouold happily survive on milk and milk alone. I try and limit it so that she has an appetite for food, but she has 3 or 4 8oz sippy cups on a normal day.
