She put some cider into the pan the chops were in, added some whole grain mustard then double cream. Poured it over the chops, then added the cooked gnocci to the remainder of the sauce and scoffed the lot! Can you see I'm following the Nigella way- a bit of that, a blob of that and scoff!

she fried a couple of pork chops and put them on a plate
some cider in the pan
a spoon of mustard (grainy soo important for the texture donchaknow)
about half a pint of cream
half (showing admirable restraint) a pack of gnocchi was boiled
spooned some sauce over chops
swilled the gnocchi in the sauce

Did say the proper recipe was on the bbc site but for an expert like you will be a doddle!

ha sammac. we both missed out...

retired to sofa where she daringly balanced it on her hip while scoffing and perusing oddly rustly papers.

Nigella did two pork chops, flattened with a rolling pin, fried for 5 minutes on both sides. She then took chops out and added some dry cider, then a tablespoon of grain mustard and finally some double cream was whisked in. She poured some of the sauce over the chops, then added half a pack of cooked long life gnocchi to the sauce, let the gnocchi absorb the sauce, then served it.
She made out that this was enough for one - I reckoned it would serve me and DH.
The chops etc were all from Waitrose (not her top London butcher).

I do pork loin steaks, smear with woholegrain mustard, cover the lot in cider (probably about 3/4 can, drink the rest really quickly before anyone notices ), let the whole lot simmer (covered) for about an hour - I find the DC won't eat it if it's in the least bit tough or chewy) and serve with boiled new potatoes and a veg.

Thank you thank you thank you!

Never done it with mustard and cream before... but now strangely excited!
