Are they vegetarian recipes?

It says 'vegetables' - but does that actually mean vegetarian, or are they 'vegetable-centred' but with lardons / anchovies / prawns etc added?

I feel a bit dim asking, but as far as I can see the books don't specify 'vegetarian'.

They are basically vegetarian, my guess why they don't say vegetarian is that there are recipes including cheese with non vegetarian rennet so a very strict vegetarian might quibble, but otherwise yes, vegetarian.

I have both of them, every recipe I can think of that I've made has been vegetarian but I think it's advertised as "plant based". I can't think of one that actually has meat or fish though.

I made the most delicious one the other day with roasted tomatoes and chickpeas and fresh basil, and then a ball of burrata broken over the top. Food of the gods.

They are plant based - no meat or fish but do include things like eggs and cheese - all of which you could easily substitute depending on how “strict” you are

Thank you!

They are lovely books too, although I haven't actually made anything out of them yet! The Autumn/Winter one, especially, is a beauty and really nice to curl up with in the cold.

I'm looking forward to trying the baked potatoes with sprouts and cream, the cheese soufflé and the cauliflower pasta.
