I want to make these for my dds birthday party, but my nephew is allergic to egg and was hoping to do them for all

Every recipe i have found uses egg, what else could i use to stick the breadcrumbs to?

Olive oil? Not sure myself really but I think anything sticky would do. My ds2 appears to be allergic to egg so I'll be interested to see what others say.

You can use yoghurt. I've done it, it works.

You can use an egg replacer (available from health shops), you can get them frozen from Sainsbury (from the Free-From range) or you can wait for my DH to come back and tell you his secret recipe

apricot jam, be sparing with it due to sugar content but its sticky enough and kids like it as it makes them sweeter.

got that tip off a 'mums the word' programme with carrie and justine

I don't use anything. Toss the chicken once in the breadcrunbs, fry in olive oil for a couple of minutes and then toss them in the crumbs again, then finish frying.

Agree - you don't need anything to stick them on. Try mixing a chicken stock cube into the breadcrumbs. It's yummy! (I made it for the DCs and DH requested he also be given it for tea...)
