stupid cake question!!?!!

Want to make a cake, but have no cooking butter (normally use stork), can I use ordinary butter (have utterly butterly) will this be ok?? Will I have to add any extra sugar to it??

Ordinary butter is fine, we use it all the time. No need to add extra sugar as far as i know.HTH.

Some of those butter substitutes are suitable for baking, some aren't. Check the packet, it should say. Ordinary real butter is fine - and delicious!

ordinary butter will be fine but utterly butterly may have emulsifiers etc in it which make it unsuitable for cooking. If making cakes with blocks of butter cut into pieces and leave in bowl for a 20 mins or so to soften before creaming. Otherwise your arms will be exhausted
