Christmas turkey - butcher or direct?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. Our local butcher is selling Christmas turkeys prepared by a 'turkey specialist' - they aren't doing anything extra to them, just a middleman.

I don't know the price of buying it from the butchers yet, but I've found that I can buy the one I want direct from the company and they'll deliver it on the 20th. Is it likely that the butchers would provide a markup on the company's price, or would it be cheaper because of a bulk/wholesale order?

I really like my butcher but these turkeys are quite expensive (don't know if I'll go for it at all) so I want to have an idea of the likely outcome before I go in and ask about ordering.

Thanks!

My in-laws are turkey farmers and sell directly to the public purely to stop people profiting from being the middle man.
If you are in Sussex you need one of our turkeys Grin

@Busybeebeebee sadly I couldn't be too much further away, I'm in Newcastle! The company I'm looking at is in Maidenhead though, so it's not like our butcher is sourcing locally.

Are there no local farms you could get your bird from?

I'm looking into it now; to be honest I'd gone to the village butcher assuming he'd be using local farmers so it's a bit odd! I'm now seeing if I can buy direct, locally :)
