hi

My 7 month old is a good and happy eater, but I have never fed him until he has refused food. Generally he keeps going with whatever I offer and however many courses, and it is me who decides to stop.

He doesn't cry or indicate that he is still hungry. BUT, could I be underfeeding him? Should I keep stuffing him until he refuses food and makes it obvious he has had enough?

My DD always just shuts her mouth when she is full so I stop then.

If you give him a meal (main course/pud) then that should be enough?

My ds is almost 7mo too and is the same rarely asks for or refuses food. The only thing is if he has too much milk then he throws it up again fairly swiftly.
It's usually me that decides he's had enough cos he's playing around with other things or watching the dog.

So long as he's putting weight on he should be fine. My ds always overfed on milk and was constantly bringing it up so if he seems content I wouldn't push him!
