Best (budget) pans for an induction hob

Hi, we're about to get an induction hob and I'm so excited after two months of no hob at all Grin

Trouble is none of my old (crappy) pans will work on it. Can anyone recommend a decent set for under £100? Or where to look for good individual pans on a budget?

Thanks in advance :)

I've just had the same dilemma. Don't do it. Buy the best quality pans you can afford. I bought some expensive ones and some cheap ones and found to my surprise that the cheap ones are really noisy. Also make sure you've tested all of your old pans because some of them may work perfectly well with the new hob. I'm now the owner of two woks because I didn't do this.

Ikea! Their 365 range is good.
Most saucepans are OK for induction these days, but you'll probably have to shop around a bit for a nonstick frying pan that's induction-compatible. The very cheapest usually are not.

The Ikea stainless steel ones are brilliant for the price, I've had mine for years and they still look good, they don't feel cheap and flimsy, and they work on induction no problem.
I spent a bit more on circulon infinite frying pans and a saute pan. However I'm still using them regularly six years on and there's no sign of the non stick peeling or scratching, whereas if I'd bought cheaper pans I would probably had to replace them several times in that six years so they work out cheaper in the long run.
