Literally within 2 or 3 spoonfuls he's throwing up.

Tried on 3(maybe 4) separate occasions and it happens every time.

I would have thought it was the texture if he's fine with other wheat. That stuff is very strange when soggy!

I saw an allergist very quickly with lo, ten days or so but he said it's very inconclusive to allergy test before a year.

I'd stick with rusks then!

Some babies are just averse to certain textures. It's not uncommon.
My DS was one of those. He never liked mushy food/soups. Very early on we gave him over cooked pieces of veg to munch one and just coarsly mashed the rest. He enjoyed chewing even without teeth and gagged if we tried to feed him purees.
He is over 3 now and altough he loves his soups(runny or with bits) now, he will never ever touch mash or soggy morning cereal.

LadyTophamHatt, when you say baby whetabix are you refering to a baby product or to the bite-size version of them?

If the later, I would recommend trying the regular ones, I don't remember exactly why but I'm positively sure DS couldn't/shouldn't have the small ones but was OK with the regular ones, that before he was diagnosed as allergic to wheat -a mystery to us, as he "seemed" fine with it-

If they continue to cause a problem try Oatibix instead, but again limit yourself to the regular sized ones.

Now I remember! main reason was because the small ones are made in equipment where peanuts are used and therefore the risk of transcontamination was high. No idea if this would be a point of concern in the case of your child.

bumping in case LTH is around this morning. could be important.

Try normal weetabix instead of baby ones, mixed with cow's milk which is fine for 7 month old.

It comes up probably due to texture more than anything else.
