Green bits on potatoes. Safe to eat if I cut the chunks of green out?

Got some spuds from the allotment but some of them have green bits on them lazy earthing up from me.

I assume they're fine to cook as long as I cut all of the green off plus a bit more?

I'm a cheapskate so that's what I do. And I serve them to the family. No one is dead yet and no one gets sick, either.

If you are at all unsure, choose a recipe that makes certain you have cooked them until they are dead but I don't normally make any special arrangements once the green is off.

Thanks sand. I'm boiling and roasting them. All the green bits are well and truly removed.

Update; we are not dead Grin.
We've had a few spuds this week. As long as the green is out it's fine.
