How does quorn fare in the slow cooker?

I've had a packet of Linda McCartney pulled "chicken" in the freezer for aeons and thinking of pulling it out this week. I was thinking of doing a sort of "chicken" stew in the slow cooker with it, or maybe just add the ingredients I would to make pulled chicken and leave it to absorb the flavours. I've never slow cooker quorn though, do you think it'd work out OK?

No. It will dissolve. I learned this making chilli con quorn in my slow cooker.

It will turn to mush. Its not at all suitable for slow cooking.

Golly, so glad I asked! Thanks both! How long is safe? An hour or so? It's cook from frozen I think, so I could make the stew element in advance and leave it to develop, then chuck the quorn in at the end.

Maybe toss it in a skillet with some herbs etc. first.

Yes, that would work perfectly. Toss in skillet with herbs then stir in right before serving.
