Frozen Fruit - Any good?

I keep seeing more and more frozen fruit in stores. Today in Sainsbury's I saw frozen avocado, pineapple and mango (not in same pack I should add). Has anyone tried this new wave of frozen fruits and any recommendations? Thanks

HolyCrap yes love frozen fruits..as a frugaleer/low carb i eat either frozen strawbs,blackberries or rasps daily(with protein &psyllium powder)blended in a shake.I buy knock down super ott dark brown bananas &peel&chop them for DC smoothies..SO much cheaper than fresh.

I always have frozen raspberries in my porridge - delicious!
Another favourite is heating up the frozen raspberries, mashing them and then adding on top of natural yogurt with a helping of honey 😋

Great for smoothies, especially the avocado that comes diced. Only other thingI’ve managed to do successfully with frozen fruit is use in a crumble or to make a pie filling.

Those of you using frozen fruit for baking, do you mean cakes? Isn’t there a lot of excess water when they defrost? Do you put them in frozen or defrost first?

I use it for smoothies and the frozen raspberries work well in cheesecake

I use frozen avocado in purees for my kids. It is also alright on pitta bread and wraps.

I buy Aldi frozen mango for smoothies, but the kids like eating it straight from the freezer.

I buy the mixed bags of berries and love them for yogurt. I fill the bottom of a tupperware with the berries, add Greek yogurt, top with honey and put it in the fridge the night before and it's delicious as a snack for work.

I've tried lots of other frozen fruits for smoothies too and they're great.

I've tried the frozen avocado and it's not great. The texture goes a bit funny. It was ok for a guacamole but fresh is better. Maybe in a smoothie it would be ok?
