Pocket/Handbag foods for a 14month old

I always keep a small tupoware or sandwich bag of raisins or chopped apricot in my handbag when we're out and about to help the outing run smoothly! But so many people are now telling me that they used raisins to death in these early days and now their kids won't touch them...

What else can you take out, that's healthy, stays fresh and small enough to fit in your pocket/handbag?

Sometimes I also take out halved grapes..

TIA

Wholemeal Marmite sandwich? Segmented, deseeded clementine? Sorry, it's amazing how quickly you forget it all.

Hi Karen - raisins still work for us, so much so that I have a box of raisins in every pocket of every jacket and every bag just in case. And one box is no longer enough. He'll choose raisins over chocolate every time, I think he is in fact a raisinoholic.

Hi Clara, yes, a clementine or other 'self-wraped' fruit would be good... wanted something that could be put in my bag and forgotten about (alteast for a day or two)...

Hi Mudda! Yes, I know your ds is a raisinoholic..so maybe we should just go with it if it's working for us? [emailed you back just now]

hmmmm, would probably still like an alternative just incase they go out of favour...

One of the little girls I was a nanny to liked cheerios as a snack

so her parents told me to take a ziplock bag of them when we went out

they don't make a mess either

obviously without the milk

These were the canadian ones without any sugar coating so healthy as well they have vitamins put into them.

Cheese triangles. Although they do squish a bit if you are not careful!

At 13 months he was also introduced to Marie bisucits (a South African equivalent to Rich Tea biscuits - but much nicer). Once we were back in the UK I used to take out a wee Tupperware box with a few rich tea biscuits.
