So I read on here people freeze their sandwiches for the week, and I would like to do the same, but what are the best sandwiches to freeze? And how long to defrost?

I like to freeze sandwiches. My only issue is the freshest bread is always easy to squash.
Any meat, especially sliced sausage, cheese and spring onion is nice. I'm not weather cream cheese is nice.

Do the anti freeze people not realise pre packed sandwiches in M and S , supermarkets etc are frozen.

I'm not anti freeze but I didn't know this.

Please don't especially if it's for your child's packed lunch. My Mum used to do this and they were absolutely disgusting. They went straight in the bin. She was not an approachable parent so I never told her and just continued throwing them away for years.

Been freezing ham sandwiches for years. Just ham and butter as that's all my ds will have for packed lunch. Taste fine.

My dad is an engineer and installer working mainly in pre-packed food processing factories and bakeries around the world so of course I've had to ask him WTF about M&S sandwiches. He's done plenty of work with M&S and assured me they are not frozen. Highly chilled yes, but not frozen.

That being said, I've always found pre-packed sandwiches pretty grim no matter who makes them. Always full of some gross shite like mayo or pickle etc 🤢.

My ds worked for their packing factory called pennine foods Chester the only difference between marks and others is on the marks production line they wear red hair nets Grin they freeze all sorts.

I freeze sliced meat in portions, take one portion out to defrost in the fridge over night and assemble a wrap in the morning. No need for butter. Takes less than a minute in the morning, and the kids don't have to eat soggy sandwiches.
