Using veggie mince on slow cooker

DH and I have decided to try and cut down our meat consumption so I thought I did try veggie mince. Wanted to try it for a slow cooker recipe (keema mutter) but not sure how I might need to adjust the recipe in terms of time/liquid. Any ideas?

Quorn mince just goes to slush in a slow cooker. It needs minimal cooking, so I would just add it after everything else is cooked.

Veggie mince doesn't benefit from slow cooking, it usually just needs heating through so dishes using it are usually very quick to cook. I make a very tasty "bolognese" style sauce with TVP (soya mince that just needs rehydrating) and a frozen soffrito mix (onions, carrots and celery already chopped), plus mushrooms, tinned tomatoes, herbs, garlic, olive oil act and it takes about 15 minutes.

It cooks so quickly that you don't need a slow cooker to make a tasty veggie mince dish.

Yes, agree with others. We also never use veggie mice, we get those pouches of lentils to use as a mince substitute - never tried your dish but they certainly work for spag bol!

OK great, thanks! Could have ended up with slush for dinner! Will have a play with the recipe and see how it turns out. Also avoiding mice in this recipe Grin
