Right, because i didn't get round to posting this last week I've now got 2 punnets of sprouting beans/ pulses and haven't a clue what to do with them, apart from sprinkling them on salad (which dp won't eat) or putting in a stir fry. Has anyone got any other ideas?
Greeny???

Don't know but shall watch with interest as we have a tub in the fridge right now...

I either just eat them raw or put them in stir-fries, or throw them into casseroles for the last few minutes of cooking.

You can use them in any dish that you would use the beans or pulses in; just bear in mind that they only take half the time to cook.

Just ate a handful and they're gorgeous raw aren't they? How fattening are they, they don't feel it but I am often deceived!? They might replace my naughty snacks instead, seems a shame to put them into a casserole, would mask the flavour - just surfed a bit and you can put them into omelettes and quiches too - sounds interesting!

I give them to the gerbils! LOL, I really just can't get on with them. DH and DD not so keen either. And we seem to have had them every week for ages. The alfafa and brocolli sprouts this week are not so bad. Gerbils really enjoying those

Lucky gerbils, Hula

Wisteria, they're not fattening - they're raw beans and very good for you.

You can sprout beans yourself - soak the dried beans in water overnight, drain, then rinse and drain them a couple of times a day.

So can I eat as many as I want then??? Desperately trying to lose weight but I get the naughty munchies so often!

Pretty much, yes!

I love sprouts ... sprouted chick peas are divine.
