Hi all,
So I've been thinking about it for ages but finally decided (after watching the most horrific thing on Tv last night!) I will not be eating meat anymore.
Question is.... my family will definitely not be joining me in this, so how can I make family meals that can be altered so mine won't contain meat. Any recipes will be greatly appreciated 😬
Oh and.. DP is the fussiest eater I have ever met and has a hate towards most vegetables 🙄
Thanks x

It's easy to make two small toad in the holes from one batter mix and just use different sausages.
I sometimes find it helpful to do a roast/pulled chicken or roast/pulled pork once a week so that we have some cooked meat on hand for adding in at the end. You can add pulled chicken right at the end to: enchiladas, fajitas and stuffed peppers. Roast chicken can be added at the end to a chickpea and couscous salad or tagine. I add the cooked pork at the end to dishes like curries and stir fries.
It's also useful to have bacon lardons for frying and adding right at the end to egg fried rice, carbonara, risotto and lentil casserole.
Make a bunch of beef meatballs and keep them in the freezer, so that a veggie tomato sauce for pasta can get a beefy boost when needed. Also, lamb meatballs are great to throw into a chickpea and vegetable tagine over some couscous, or can be part of a tapas or mezze dinner.
I make these pitta pizzas a lot and you can easily leave off the ham www.bbc.com/food/recipes/pitta_pizzas_20075
This oven-baked frittata is a good veggie dish if you fry the bacon separately and use two separate oven dishes, leaving the bacon out of one of them www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/3077673/bacon-and-ricotta-ovenbaked-frittata

things like risotto
or big rice dishes can be made veggies.you just cook it as usual and then can serve with chorizo or salami or chicken thighs added at the end.
pasta bakes you can do it all then split off.
get yourself some little oven dishes so your portion can be put in this is the redt of your family are the larger part fo the meals they can stay in the usual dishes.
we even used to make 'foil walls' haha in pasta bakes and lasagnes and enchiladas.
fajita can be done as veggie until you take your away and add the meat.
making some tomato sauce first and then adding minc to their and either quorn or vggies to your part.
again with stir frys.do the veggie bits first whilst cooking off their chicken or beef in sep pan then decamp the veggies into the meat pan leaving some for you
making mini nut roast for sunday lunches then do everything as usual.
if doing a beef casserole again do the veggie bits in the pan whilst sep cooking the meat then taking your away and adding more veggies or tofu veggies sausges etc.
when making pork chop casserole wed cooking the onion leek and carrots.add your wine and mustard white sauce, poaching their pork in stock and then take your away adding more veg and sweet potato adding pork into theirs.serve with veggie burger.tortilini, nut cutlets.
this lady does it waaaaaaaaaay better than im explaining!
