I do a fortnight at a time ....starting on Tues, next fortnight looks like this so far...

#Home made pizza, wedges and coleslaw
#Curried lentil and vege soup with crispy pita
#Slow cooker roast venison, mash, peas, corn
#Oven baked cod, scallop taties, peas, carrots
#Stuffed butternut pumpkin and salad
#Shepherds Pie with roasted vege salad
#Frittata with green salad and home made buns
#Creamy salmon pasta and vege
#Stroganoff on rice
#Couscous with spicy chickpeas and seasonal vege
#Tacos with home made refried beans and green salad
#Meatloaf with savoury vegetable rice
#Beef/Vege Kebabs on thai spicy noodles

Bit stuck for the last one, I am vege so will have variations of what is listed, we don't eat chicken so will keep an eye on thread and see if I can pinch another idea off someone else...

Actually could I have a recipe for lentil and oat bake or for leek and onion tart please, both sound the sort of food that would feature well here

RubeusDuck · 15/07/2007 10:03

This is the recipe I use for leek and onion tart - although my tin seems smaller than hers so I only use half quantity of the veg and about 3/4 quantity of the eggs/cream/cheese.

RubeusDuck · 15/07/2007 10:32

Would be interested in your stroganoff recipe, yawningmonster... is it a mushroom stroganoff?

yawningmonster · 15/07/2007 10:42

yes, will post tomorrow for you, have to pop away at the minute

yawningmonster · 16/07/2007 08:35

Mushroom Stroganoff
Here is the original recipe which I tend to tamper with a fair bit depending on who is eating it and what we are having it with...smaller quanities will do for 4 if serving with salad and rice/couscous, larger quanities for 6 or when your dh eats as much as mine

Melt 4tbsp good butter and saute 1-2 finely diced onions (can add celery, finely diced capsicum, garlic, and have even added leek), cook over low heat until clear. Add 4-6 cups mushrooms (I use a mixture of whatever I can get, button, portabello, field) slice into even sized slices or chunks and cook until juices run. Add in a pinch of mixed herbs and basil or some finely chopped fresh herbs to taste. Stir in heaped tbsp of flour and cook 1 or so mins to thicken. Add 1-1 1/2c stock (mushroom or vege) or a mixture of stock and wine if for adults, I tend to adjust it as if using couscous more liquid is absorbed than if serving on rice iykwim. Cook gently for about 10mins. Remove from heat and stir through 1/3 c plain yoghurt or sour cream. Heat through very gently without boiling.
