I've a magi-mix which can be used for bigger items. I used to have a Braun stick blender with a bowl/chopper attachment which was great for curry pastes. That lasted a long time but finally broke so I got a Bosch stick blender with bowl/chopper attachment. The blades got jammed into the bowl quite soon after purchase and I didn't return it as it had been a gift and I didn't have the receipt. I've recently thought of buying the bowl/chopper attachment but it's over £30 so I might as well buy a separate mini chopper.

What would be good for my needs. Does anyone have the Tefal mini chopper?

I’ve got the Kenwood mini chopper and it’s fab - very compact and does the job - used it yesterday to make salsa and have used it for chopping nuts, making small amounts of breadcrumbs etc

I've had both the Tefal & the Kenwood - both returned to Amazon as they broke very quickly. I've got a real cheapie mini-chopper from Aldi - brilliant. Had it several years & it's in regular use.

My favourite though is a "wet & dry" chopper made by Revel. Small quantities, ideal for things like curry pastes, pesto, etc

Oh that Revel one sounds more life what I need a it would be useful to find spices and seeds. The reviews are patchy on Amazon. Do you have an older model?

I've got a Ninja from Amazon. Brilliant bit of kit.

Get a cheap coffee grinder for seeds and spices, it will grind much more finely and then use the small chopper for pastes, nuts, herbs and sauces. Also does small amounts of breadcrumbs- really handy. I have the kenwood one that goes in their multi stick blender. I went through the blender attachment quite quickly but use the chopper and the masher regularly.
A pestle and mortar is handy for small amounts of spices for curries.

We’ve had one of these for years Magimix le Micro, having had a couple of Kenwoods which died after two or three years. I’m pretty rough with it, and it’s held up to a fair bit of abuse for what must be 8/9 years. Not good at grinding spices though - I have an old coffee grinder for that. It’s a bit bigger than the Kenwood but tall with a fairly small footprint so fits into the same space in my cupboard.

There seem to be quite a few variants on Amazon - don’t know what the difference between them is.
