Flapjack definitely and shortbread of course-millionnaires or otherwise.

bewilderbeast · 10/07/2007 18:55

make a gingercake or a tealoaf, they need a couple of days to mature so by tuesday they would be in perfect condition

Brownies tend to last well in my experience ( not that they last long in my house.....yum yum!!)

Carrot cake might stay moist and delish?

MrsBadger · 10/07/2007 19:11

any kind of cake where you slash the top and pour something over it - the Nigella orange-syrup cake, coffee cake, ginger syrup cake etc
Just about any cake with yoghurt / sour cream / cream cheese in (I have a fab lemon ricotta cake recipe somewhere)

most biscuits will be ok if properly airtight tin

the only thing that really won't make it is stuff based on Victoria sponge, which is best very fresh.

gingerbread men type biscuits - or indeed gingerbread, which is better after a fe days in the tin...

tassis · 10/07/2007 19:13

shortbread

MintyDixCharrington · 10/07/2007 19:14

there is a good nigella almond and orange cake in how to eat that is much better wrapped in foil for 2-3 days rather than eaten immediately

alternatively if you are thinking of pudding, meringues keep for AGES

MintyDixCharrington · 10/07/2007 19:15

oooh mrs b got there before me!

ediemay · 10/07/2007 19:15

add some sour cream or creme fraiche to muffins and they stay moist for ages!

NannyL · 10/07/2007 19:16

wow! there are LOADS of thinsg then...

maybe gingerbread men for the kids, and a ginger cake / choc brownies for the grownups?

Yum!
