I've just come back from an amazing time in oz it struck me their salads are so more interesting than my lazy 70's lettuce, Toms and cucumber salad. Can anyone recommend a good recipe by book? I'm always nervous about which veg combine together but love the thought of a colourful salad and lovely dressings

No book recommendation but I often search online for whatever vegetable ingredients are in season / looked good at the market / I feel like eating and there are lots of lovely ideas online.
There are veg I enjoy in salad way more than cooked or hot, such as sprouts and cauliflower.

I have this book which is great - love some of the unusual dressings.

No early watching for more recommendations.

I have The Big Book of Salads. Unfortunately I'm one of those people that never uses their cookbook, but there are a lot of interesting options

I find I just don't need recipe books any more. If I google "salad recipe" I will get literally thousands of suggestions.

There's a lovely one by Harry Eastwood called A Salad For All Seasons, I must get mine out again!

it not a recipe as such but we always have raw broccoli chopped small.celery, onions and peppers.it makes a lovely salad.
somehow making a kachumber salad take it to a whole new level.
a basic dressing we make in a jam jar is a bit of sugar, salt, lemon juice, mixed herbs, oil, cider and balasamic vinegar.

I don't have a book but peaches and feta or papaya and spring onion are winners here
