Roast pork, stuffing, potato carrot and swede mash, broccoli, cauliflower and spinach here. With apple sauce and gravy. We'll eat around 1:45 - 2pm. I grew up eating the Sunday meal at around 6pm but am now in the habit of eating earlier and then having a light snack in the evening. What happens in your house?

Surely you are all having too many carbs! Grin

We are having burgers and salad, with absolutely no additional carbs.

Lamentations · 24/02/2019 13:08

Pad Thai
Around 7pm

BlueMerchant · 24/02/2019 13:29

What's a burger without the bun & a side of friesShock

Quooker · 24/02/2019 13:47

@BlueMerchant I asked on the other thread what to have with a burger if not chips. Apparently a bun is sufficient carbs and I should not be adding any more.

Decormad38 · 24/02/2019 13:50

Lamb hot pot and green beans.

BlueMerchant · 24/02/2019 13:50

It's half a meal without fries!!

Seeleyboo · 24/02/2019 14:14

Shepherds pie, roast parsnips, carrotts, Yorkshire puddings, gravy, peas and coliflower cheese. Followed by Apple crumble and custard. We eat 1 so we have finished.

HelenaJustina · 24/02/2019 14:24

We had burgers for lunch at about 1pm, veggie for me and DH. I had mine on a big pile of leaves, no bun. DH has salad and bun and baked beans. DC had buns and salad and beans.

It’s beautiful here so we threw them on the barbecue!

Quooker · 24/02/2019 15:02

Don’t worry @BlueMerchant, we are having fries and onion rings!

Defender90 · 24/02/2019 15:10

We will eat about 6, enchiladas tonight.

Love a Sunday roast but just can't be arsed today.

Gloopy · 24/02/2019 15:23

Roast chicken, peas, carrots, mash, broccoli, cabbage and parsnips, Yorkshire puds. I'm cooking for 7 today.

We will eat around around 5-6.

MsSquiz · 24/02/2019 15:35

Usually we have a roast at lunch time on a Sunday. But today we had sausage sandwiches at 12 and I have beef brisket slow cooking for our roast at 6ish.

Beef brisket
Roast carrots
Roast parsnips (aunt Bessie's)
Peas
Broccoli
Mash
Roast potatoes
Yorkshire puddings
Gravy

sheepsheep · 24/02/2019 16:21

We had brioche french toast with berries for brunch and will have roast pork, roasties, veg and gravy at around 5.30 followed by sticky toffee pudding and ice cream.

This is a rare Sunday where the meals are "proper" in terms of what Sunday food "should" be.

Usually we just have a sandwich or soup for lunch and a "normal" dinner like what we eat the rest of the week.

Justgivemesomepeace · 24/02/2019 16:24

We tend to eat mid to late afternoon. Sometimes have a roast but that takes up a lot of the day to cook. I like to put something in the slow cooker then i can just leave and go out for a walk or to the park. Today its curry to eat whilst we watch the footy.

IHaveBrilloHair · 24/02/2019 16:28

Chicken Tonka here tonight, with rice, onion bhajis and salad.
No lunch as we both slept until 3.

IHaveBrilloHair · 24/02/2019 16:29

Tonka? Wtf, tikka.

Aragog · 24/02/2019 16:36

Had toasted bagels with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for lunch.

Dinner will be around 6:30-7. Chicken for dh and Dd, cod and parsley sauce for me. With jacket potatoes and vegetables.

Dillyson · 24/02/2019 16:38

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, bacon wrapped sausages, stuffing, broccoli and cauliflower cheese, cabbage and gravy.

We will eat around 6pm.

DaffydownClock · 24/02/2019 16:48

We had croissants with homemade marmalade for breakfast then lamb and apricot tagine about 2.30 with couscous.
Will just have cheese and crackers later or a slice of lemon and lime cake with a cuppa later.

onlyhereforthefood · 24/02/2019 20:26

We usually have a roast about 7pm, but this week we fancied something much less involved so had chicken dippers, chips and beans (and yes, we're both 30 and no kids!) It was perfect.

LaFreaka · 24/02/2019 20:33

Went out for breakfast, usually have a roast of some description around 7-8pm - whenever it's ready really - not keen on fixed meal times.

Mmmhmmokdear · 24/02/2019 23:12

We don't usually have a roast on Sundays, as I work in the afternoons / evenings.

I do do a main lunchtime meal though so we can all eat together. I did a beef stew today which we ate at 12.30 (kids were "starving")
