Hi I am a childminder and I have 3 children under 2 as well as some sfter schoolies. I am trying to find a good cookbook with recipes that are quick, easy (not worlds best cook by any means!!) and healthy.
I am sure they get bored with spag bol, lasagne, shephards pie and such like so would love to try some different things.
Is Annabel Karmels books any good or are their better baby/toddler cook books on the market. Please help!!

Really, and I don't care what the critics say, you just need Delia. I think AK is shite myself.

I also have Amy Wilcox and a few other bits and pieces but a basic, see you through the basics book is good as from there you can use your imagination.

I like The Dinner Lady. GREAT stuff and storecupboard.

Also BBC Good Food recipe books.

Cheap and easy, user-friendly recipes.

Nigella Lawson 'How to Eat' has a nice baby and toddler section - not too artsy! And I think she writes really well.

Here's an collection of recipes www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/C124, including Magic Picture Toast and
Sauteed Reindeer!

There are a couple of very good recipe websites online.

BBC one is good (I get the magazine as well).

And UKTV isn't bad.

Also delia online has some recipes (though you can't access all without a subscription I think).

You get access to many more recipes that way.

Also netmums has a collection of child friendly recipes as does mn.

SO true, lapin!

Cheaper, too.

trouble with Annabel Karmel for toddlers is there is a lot of arranging food on a plate to look like a snail, etc.

I do like your posting name OFSTEDoutstanding

Can't stand Nigella myself, but each to their own. The Sainsburys website is quite good OO, you can search for particular styles of food and the BBC food website is fantastic.

Toddler Healthy Eating Planner by Amanda Grant is fantastic - lots of simple quick recipes which will work for all the age groups you care for.

Totally agree with Expat...The Dinner Lady by Jeanette Orrey is fab, as is the follow-up, Second Helpings. Loads of wholesome, straightforward recipes suitable for the whole family, and and no farting around with butterfly-shaped carrots and courgette caterpillar antennae...Annabel K aficionados must have a lot of time on their hands, that's all I can say

www.allrecipes.com is also very handy...
