Instant Pot vs Sage Fast Slow Pro Pressure cooker

Does anyone have any recommendations either way between these two products? Aesthetically I prefer the Sage and it gets the better review on Which? but the Instant Pot seems to be the more popular.

I want to know the answer to this, too - just came across this thread whilst searching that exact topic. Did you buy one @ChangeyMcChangeChange?

Hi @Sethos I went for the instantpot, it was a little bit cheaper and as a lot of the recipes are based around it it just seemed to be a lot easier (plus extensive Facebook group etc). I can keep it in a cupboard though, the sage is much more attractive, and I'd have seriously considered that if I was keeping it out on a surface

The Instant Pot has a stainless steel pot, rather than a non-stick pot which is what most other electric pressure cookers seem to use.

I think SS is better as you don't have to worry about scratching the teflon, and in a pinch you can stick it in the dishwasher. I can see that some people would prefer non-stick though.

(I should be clear that the stainless steel pot doesn't work very well in the dishwasher - it takes up a lot of space, and it's too deep for the base to be cleaned thoroughly, so it often needs a bit of a hand wash afterwards. But I've not had a problem keeping it clean in general).

Thanks both.

@ShavenConnery the stainless steel pot put me off slightly, as I don't like searing/sauteeing on metal - I find it sticks and I don't like the feel of stirring it around. The Sage one has a ceramic coating which is supposedly harder and more durable than teflon. I'd prefer it to be steel than aluminium underneath, but hey ho.

I bit the bullet and ordered the Sage. Not much price difference really, and I like that it has a reduce function.
