Do you think DH would like sloe gin?

DH has asked for a flavoured gin for xmas. Just been looking in Tescos and getting totally confused. I noticed a sloe gin, but on getting back I've read it's more like a liqueur. DH doesn't really like many liqueurs as we serve them neat and I think he finds them strong and sugarly, but if I bought him sloe gin he's be adding tonic to it which would dilute. Any ideas if he'd like it? If not does anyone have any ideas for a medium priced flavoured gin worth trying? I haven't got a clue about gins.

He generally drinks larger, wine, southern comfort, Baileys and gin.

I love sloe gin so it must be sweet but if he likes Southern comfort he might be ok, does he drink that with coke?

If you wanted to rerun it and get flavoured gin there is heaps to choose from, also Aldi will have some reasonably priced

Sip smith sloe gin with tonic is quite port like.
Edinburgh rhubarb gin with tonic and clementine peel is lovely and festive too.

Slow gin is usually drunk neat as a liqueur I think, not with tonic. It is quite sweet.
Flavoured gins are everywhere. You can even get diy kits to flavour your own. You can also get different flavoured tonics too (fevertree ones). If he doesn't like sweet flavours, go for aromatic herby ones or citrus ones. Some are more like liqueurs (had a rhubarb one once, was so sticky)

Sloe gin and prosecco is awesome

He doesn’t like sweet drinks but drinks southern comfort and baileys? The sweetest drinks known to mankind.

Some brands are sweeter than others, Plymouth Gin's sloe gin is less sweet than Gordon's for instance.

I drink sloe gin with tonic! It also goes well with bitter lemon or cloudy lemonade. I bought my mum a bottle of rhubarb and ginger gin for Christmas, Sipsmith do a lemon drizzle gin which is lovely too.

Personally wouldn't buy sloe gin to dilute. If he's likely to drink it with tonic, would steer clear of gin liqueurs And go for gin. Or buy a bottle of each. Brockmanns sounds like it might be to his taste, with Mediterranean tonic

I don't like gin at all, but find sloe gin tolerable because it's not very gin-like.
