Walkers Sensations Thai Sweet Chilli flavour - Yum

Failing that, then Kettle Chips are the ones for me.

MingMingtheWonderPet · 24/06/2007 22:01

lucykate - Have just seen they are your favourite too. Great minds think alike!

binkleandflip · 24/06/2007 22:03

A kettle chip crisp buttie - pure heaven....

lucykate · 24/06/2007 22:09

the dc's love them too although dd says they give her 'hot lips' lol!

MingMingtheWonderPet · 24/06/2007 22:19

That is exactly what my kids say too!
I felt sure that they would not like them, and taht I would get to have a treat to myself, but oh no - they like them too

NannyL · 25/06/2007 09:27

oliveoil · 25/06/2007 09:29

Kettles

Pringles are the work of the devil

expatinscotland · 25/06/2007 09:29

Kettle chips all the way!

When I can't get Tyrell's.

burek · 25/06/2007 09:38

PRINGLES

Oh, I can just taste them now.

Saw the other day that our supermarket have recently started stocking them, but at about three times the price of the UK. Was an extremely good girl and walked away (good for pocket, good for waist) but oh, I'm still thinking about them...

Sixofone · 25/06/2007 10:36

Binkle, I will go with you on the Kettle Chip buttie, yum yum!

I can't understand the attraction of Walkers Sensations, which to my mind are Kettle Chip wannabes that don't quite make the grade

HAS to be kettle chips.

did you know, pringles wanted to come out with a low fat version, but they tasted like crap. so they just put more fat in the normal version, and called the normal version low fat.

chisigirl · 25/06/2007 20:58

Burek,
Just wanted to say, what a great name!! When I saw it I just had to see if you were from BiH. My parents lived there for a year and a half and I loved going to visit them. My DS1 and DH absolutely love bureks!

burek · 25/06/2007 21:16

hi chisigirl! what are the chances of that?? where did they live?
Hey, if you ever come back to this part of the world, you officially have 'bujrum' to poop in on us and enjoy the view - and I'll even make you burek!

But no pringles!

burek · 25/06/2007 21:18

oh my god - I meant pop in on us... please do not poop in on us!

(too much poop on the mind today - see my camping thread... this is getting insane )

chisigirl · 26/06/2007 21:07

hi Burek
They lived in Sarajevo. Sadly, they have now left so probably no more trips out there for us in the short term. I'd like to go back there one day, though. Whereabouts are you?

burek · 27/06/2007 09:37

near Bugojno, right in the middle of the country, about 45 minutes from Travnik

Sarajevo is lovely. Been there a couple of times on day trips. Have turned in to a bit of a country bumpkin now though so after a couple of hours in the 'big city' I start longing for peace and quiet and fresh air. How things change! Can't imagine placing myself in central London or anywhere equally busy now. I think I'd just curl up and cry!

chisigirl · 27/06/2007 12:17

Burek, is Bugojno your home town? We did go to Travnik for the day. Haven't seen much of the countryside though, just the mountain areas around Sarajevo. Beautiful!

burek · 27/06/2007 19:26

I'm from the UK and we moved here last year. We live on a hill overlooking Bugojno so it's rural but withing easy travelling distance to get to work for me.
Did you like Travnik? I really like it. It has a certain something about it, like you can imagine life there hundreds of years ago, with people doing exactly the same things now as they did then, especially on market day. Was the fort reopened when you went there? They've done a lovely job. I found out by accident that being up there overlooking the town when all the mosques are calling to prayer is quite a magical experience. The sound is lovely - to me anyway - at the best of times but to overlook the valley and hear it is amazing. We actually time our tours to coincide with it!

Yes, quite a move from pringles to travnik. Sorry sixofone! We should start a bosnia fans thread!

chisigirl · 28/06/2007 13:55

Yes, I loved the walk through the narrow streets up to the top and the amazing views from up there. What type of tours do you run?

Sixofone · 28/06/2007 13:59

Lol. Was just wondering what burek actually was....

OP posts:
flatmouse · 28/06/2007 14:03

I would say at the moment, kettle chips - in particular Balsamic vinegar, but also partial to some of the chilli ones.

But hang on, i wouldn't expect to share them with anyone!

burek · 29/06/2007 07:49

Sixofone, this is burek but the photo is terrible. Imagine minced veal wrapped in filo pastry baked in the oven with butter over the top... mmmmmm

Sixofone · 01/07/2007 22:35

oooh, that looks yummy going to google for a recipe!

BTW, had Lime and Chilli Kettle Chips today
